Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 November 2026
These terms govern your use of the Citewren Chrome extension, its server features and this website (together, the "Service"), provided by Rasa Petkevičiūtė, Kaunas, Lithuania ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or buying a plan you agree to them.
1. The Service
Citewren analyses web pages for search engine optimisation, AI readiness and visibility in AI-generated answers. The Free plan is provided without an account. Paid plans (Pro and Agency) add features described on the pricing section. The Service is under active development and features may be added, changed or removed; we will not materially reduce a paid plan during a period you have already paid for.
2. Purchases and merchant of record
Orders are processed by Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"), which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. Polar handles payment, billing, invoicing and sales tax or VAT, and its own terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in euros at checkout.
3. Subscriptions and cancellation
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the Polar customer portal or the link in your receipt email. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the current period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4. License keys
A paid plan unlocks through a license key. Pro is for one user and Agency for up to three users within one organisation. Do not share, resell or publish your key. We may deactivate keys that are shared or used to abuse the Service.
5. Fair use and limits
AI credits and tracked prompts are limited per plan and reset monthly; unused amounts do not roll over. You may not use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, overload or attack websites or our systems, scrape search engines or AI apps in violation of their terms, or reverse engineer the Service to build a competing product.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the pages, text and prompts you analyse. You give us the permission needed to process them to provide the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. Make sure you are allowed to analyse the pages you submit to AI-powered features.
7. AI output and results
Scores, suggestions and AI-generated text are automated and may be incomplete or wrong. Results from AI engines vary between runs and may differ from what a person sees in a consumer app. Review output before you publish it. We do not guarantee any ranking, traffic or citation outcome.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its code and brand belong to us. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it under these terms.
9. Warranty and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously breach these terms. If we discontinue a paid plan, we will refund the unused part of the current period.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date above. Material changes take effect for paying customers at the next renewal, and we will tell you in advance by email or in the extension.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without depriving consumers of protection under the mandatory laws of their country of residence.
